Leonor Kohan Obituary
Leonor Gomez-Gonzales Kohan, passed on November 17, 2024, in League City, TX at the age of 76. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1948, she was beloved and raised by Ernestina and Oscar Castellanos. A loving mother of three children, Michael, Lawrence, and Stephen; Leonor Kohan was a pillar in New York City Public Education and was a loyal servant of the students and parents of East Brooklyn; specifically, P.S. 108. Leonor Kohan is a proud alumnus of Long Island University and Adelphi University receiving a master's in education administration. Preceded in death by Michael N. Kohan, Leonor was known to her grandchildren as "Mommy Leo". She loved 7 grandchildren, Micheal, Andrew, Lauren, Lucas, Leanna, Brooke, and Nora Kohan. Leonor is survived by her brother Elizar Castellanos and father Oscar Castellanos. The Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 12:30pm with a Ceremony at 1:30pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573 with Deacon Russ Carroll officiating.
