Leonor "Nonnie" Piña
EDINBURG – Leonor “Nonnie” Piña, 72, died Sunday March 29, 2026, at her residence in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Maria Cantu; parents, Erasmo and Canuta Cantu; and two siblings, Otila Arranda and Raul Cantu.
Leonor is survived by her three children, Joanna Piña, Yvette “Evie” (Robert) Cortino, Jonathan (Debrina) Piña; two grandchildren, Jayden Florido and Lucas Piñon; and five siblings, Erasmo Cantu Jr., San Juanita Ramirez, Elizabeth Luera, Graciela Uresti and Norma Huerta.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with 6 p.m. rosary, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
