HOULTON – LeRoy "Poochie" Barrows, 71, passed away on August 24, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 7, 1953, in Houlton, the son of Hubert "Jeep" and Doris (Boulier) Barrows.

Enlisting in the Navy in 1972, LeRoy had a decorated military career. After retiring in 1992, he briefly became a barber before working for many years in Tucson, Arizona as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service. He was an avid golfer and found joy in the thrill of the casino, cherishing many memorable moments at the tables.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Henderson) Barrows, two children Paul and Jennifer; three grandchildren Braeden, Ian and Quinn; five siblings: David and his partner Heidi, Paul and his wife Barbara, Philip and his wife Maria, Dale and his wife Michelle, Judy and her husband, Mike Doody, and one sister-in-law Dannette; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Jo.

He was predeceased by both his parents and his brother, Danny.

Friends may call on Friday September 26, 2025, from 11 to 12 pm at the Houlton Wesleyan Church with services being held at 12 pm. A luncheon will take place prior to LeRoy's burial at Henderson Cemetery on Foxcroft Road. To share memories and condolences please visit www.bowersfuneral.com
