The passing of Leroy Branchal, 78, on October 21, 2024, celebrates a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and purpose.
Born on September 2, 1946, to Reynaldo Sr. and Aurora Branchal, Leroy embodied the values of family, hard work, and compassion.
His professional journey, from the family logging business to the Carson National Forest Service, showcased his resilience. Due to a work-related injury while employed with the Carson National Forest, he was medically retired.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo Sr. and Aurora Branchal. His In-Laws Gabriel and Felonis Abeyta. His brother In-Law Eloy Abeyta (Marcia).
He is survived by his loving wife Lucy of 55 years; His siblings, sister Flora Salazar (+Fred); brother Reynaldo Branchal Jr. (+Mercy); brother Juan Branchal (+Peggy); sister Isabel Branchal, sister Teresina Rivas (Tomas); brother Nick Branchal (Bonnie); sisters-in-law Ernestina Cordova (Francis); Dorothy Abeyta de Gonzales (+Martin); He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he treated as his own and many dear cousins and friends.
His legacy will live on through his wife, Lucy, and his loving family who will continue to draw strength from his unwavering support and guidance, ensuring his memory remains in a beacon of hope and inspiration. Leroy was a devout Catholic with a strong faith where he served as a Mayordomo at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Leroy was a man of many talents and loved watching his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos. He will be missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 6:00pm in the Evergreen Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:00am at San Francisco de Asís Catholic church.
