MR. LESLIE HENRY HAYES, a vibrant soul whose laughter resonated through the fabric of his family and community, departed this world on October 17, 2025, in the city of his birth, Dallas, Texas. Born on May 30, 1951, Leslie was the epitome of resilience, a protector whose strong-willed nature shaped the lives of those fortunate enough to call him family.
From an early age, Leslie showcased an infectious spirit adorned with humor, earning him a reputation as one of the funniest souls around. Graduating from Lincoln High School as a proud member of the Class of '69, he carried the lessons learned within those walls throughout his life, embracing every challenge with a determination that inspired all who witnessed it.
Leslie's love for his family was not just an emotion; it was his life's work. He relished the moments spent dancing, often leading joyous gatherings filled with music, where his talent for singing and songwriting added an unmistakable warmth to every occasion. To him, nothing was more important than the legacy he built through his children, whom he regarded as his proudest accomplishment. His nurturing spirit wrapped around them like a protective cloak, fostering strength and encouraging resilience.
As we remember Leslie, we are called to cherish the memories of his infectious laughter, his unwavering support, and the love that emanated from his very being. A life well-lived, Leslie will forever be interwoven into the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A viewing for Leslie will take place on November, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, followed by a funeral service also at Golden Gate Funeral Home on November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
In saying goodbye, we honor not just a man who cherished his family but a beacon of joy who touched the lives of many. As the curtain falls on his earthly journey, we find solace in knowing that his spirit will dance alongside us, living on in our hearts.
