Mrs. Leslie Ann Jenkins, 66, of Ellaville, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 28, 2025. Services will be private.
Mrs. Jenkins was born September 20, 1958, in Austin, TX to Robert and Evelyn Cotton Mattson. She worked as a caretaker for many years, for her family and many others. Leslie had a selfless attitude in everything she did and would always put others first. Her strong spirit carried her through a courageous battle with cancer, that allowed her to far outlive all the doctor’s predictions. Leslie loved laughing and considered it her medicine. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Mattson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 46 years, Marvin Jenkins of Ellaville; a daughter, Jennifer Jenkins (Brenda Siebold) of Winchester, KY; her father, Robert Mattson, Sr.; four brothers, Jeff Mattson of Newnan, GA, Gene Mattson of Ellaville, GA, Mark Mattson of Talladega, AL, and Robert Mattson, Jr. of South Carolina; a sister, Patty Powell (Don) of Columbus, GA; her beloved dog, Willow and cats, Corona and Vivian; and several nieces and nephews.
