Leslie Charles Nelson, age 65 of Oswego, IL passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on September 14, 1959 in Ironwood, MI, the son of Lyman and Katherine (Romanowski) Nelson. Les was united in marriage in 1982 to Jeannine Milazzo and they spent the next 42 years happily together. Mr. Nelson was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. He was employed for many years as a Database Administrator at Sears Roebuck & Company and for the State of Illinois. Les was a loving husband, father, son-in-law, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, cousin, friend, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Les is survived by his wife, Jeannine Nelson of Oswego, IL; his daughters, Heather Nelson of Plano, IL, Holly (Jeffrey) Noland of Wonder Lake, IL, and Brittany (Dennis Senemuongdong) Nelson of Schaumburg, IL; his grandsons, Aury, Collin, and Connor; his brothers, Joseph Nelson and Kert Nelson both of MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Katherine Nelson; and his sister-in-law, Susan Nelson. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL.
