Lester Coblentz 80, of Berlin, OH passed away peacefully at the Pomerene Hospital on Monday, January 27, 2025.
He was born in Holmesville, OH on July 4, 1944 to the late Noah and Katie Ann (Stutzman) Coblentz. On May 27, 1971 he married Nancy Flaud who survives.
Lester lived each day of his life to the fullest. He spent seven years in Belize spreading the love of Jesus where lifelong friends were made and where he met the love of his life, Nancy. They lived in the village of Isabella Bank where he taught school for two years. After their return to Ohio, he worked for Holmes Lumber for 28 years. Lester and Nancy lived in
Plain City, OH for eleven years, and during that time he served as administrator at Deeper Life Ministries.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always ready to share his words of wisdom with them. In his retirement years he enjoyed collecting antique tools & going to auctions.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children Glenford (Char) Coblentz, Zonya (Steve) Lapp and Nate Coblentz, all of Millersburg; grandchildren, Katie, Becca, Abby and Brevin Coblentz, and Kobe, Kylie and Reese Lapp; a brother Daniel (Susanna) Coblentz of Harrisburg, KY; sisters, Anna (John) Myers of Paraguay, Mary (late Clyde) Stoll of Odon, IN, Erma (William) Byler of Auburn, KY, Ada Byler of Kalona IA; sisters-in-law, Elaine (late Perry) Coblentz of North Webster, IN and Mildred (late Jake) Coblentz of Grandin, MO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jake, Perry, Aden (Rhoda) and Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at Bethel Fellowship, 4183 SR 39, Millersburg, on Friday, January 31, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Judson Schrock officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Fellowship Cemetery. Friends may call at Bethel Fellowship from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday and from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday.
