Bertha passed away peacefully in the afternoon at the age of 70 on June 11th. She was the oldest of 11 children, born in 1954 to Elmer and Mary Yoder.
Bertha cherished life's simple joys-warm summer mornings, the sound of birds singing, and a quiet cup of coffee. She loved her family fiercely and devotedly, raising nine children: Miriam, Freida, Polly, Sarah, Emma, Elmina, Ruth, Leona, and Buddy. Her memory continues through 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
A faithful servant of Christ, Bertha lived her entire life with unwavering devotion to Jesus. Her faith was the cornerstone of her being, reflected in her kindness, humility, and strength. She now rests at peace in her heavenly home, reunited with loved ones who went before her and embraced by the eternal grace she so deeply believed in.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service for Bertha will take place on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 12:00pm at Myers Pointe Event Center, 600 Road 172 Hartly, DE 19953. The burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover.
