Lester Eugene Koder, 61, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away Saturday evening, October 5, 2024 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The son of Jack Franklin & Alice Elizabeth (Neill) Koder, he was born on April 18, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up Raymore, Missouri.
After graduating high school, he attended the former Oregon Bible College and came to Grand Rapids, Michigan to begin a ministry internship. While attending Southlawn Church of God, he meet the love of his life, Annette Elizabeth Anderson. They married on October 7, 1989 and would have celebrated 35 years of marriage this Monday. Lester worked as driver for Columbian Transportation and was a member of Garden Park Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Koder.
Surviving are his wife, Annette Koder of Wyoming, Michigan; his sister, Erica & Michael Harris of Belton, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Lisa Koder of Peculiar, Missouri; a nephew, Sean Harris; four nieces, Aerianna Harris, Elizabeth Koder, Erin Koder, and Allison Koder; a great-niece, Mya Fitch; and his faithful canine companion, Bree.
Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Garden Park Church of God, 5615 Madison Avenue S.E., Kentwood, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pasror Bill Dunn will officiate and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Sorry to hear of Lester's passing. Our family attended Southlawn when he interned there. He had stayed in touch with my son, Bruce through the years. Prayers for his family.
