Lester A. McClung

Lester A. McClung, Jr., a loving husband, father, friend and overall special man, was called home to the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 92.
Lester was born May 9, 1933 in Kingston, Jamaica. He lived his adult life in New York. He was drafted into the military and proudly served in the United States Air Force as a dental technician. He was honorably discharged in 1956.
Lester married Hedy LaMarr, the sister of his DeWitt Clinton schoolmate. They had grown up in the same neighborhood in the Bronx.
Lester McClung leaves to mourn his loss and to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Hedy McClung; his beloved children, Mary Ford (Elwin), Helen McClung and Butch, and Charles McClung (Tamika); his grandchildren, Edward McClung (Latisha McClung) and Brittney Rush McClung, along with his great-grandchildren Makii, Christopher, Cristian, Kamia, Gabriel, and Ezra, brought him immense pride and joy.
Lester leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, and devotion to family and friends that will be forever remembered and deeply missed.

A Funeral Service will take place at 9 AM on Monday, November 17th, 2025 at Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services - 732 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, New York 10704 (914) 375-1400 www.FRSWFH.com. Following the Funeral Services, Lester will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery - 210 Princeton Boulevard - Calverton, New York 11933.
