Lester Smith Obituary
He was born on August 25, 1951 in Quincy, MA. Lester attended Norwich Public Schools, graduating from NFA in 1969.
Lester started working for the Norwich Public Utilities in 1972 and retired in 2009 as a General Foreman for the Gas & Water Division. He enjoyed his job and friends he made along the way.
In his spare time he enjoyed scrollsawing and working on his woodworking projects. He also liked to keep himself busy with yard work.
Lester enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.They were all very special to him.
Les is survived by his wife Susan of 44 years, his son Jason Smith and daughter Erica Saucier (Kevin). He leaves behind his four grandchildren, Micayla Boots, Matthew Boots, Cadance Smith and Chase Smith. His sisters, Natalie Caron (Joe), Emily Smith (David), and Merrie Hedler (Ken).
He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Smith, his parents Arthur and Olive Smith, and a sister Olive Conti.
The family will hold a private memorial Service.
