Letha Lamar "Lou" Collins (Clements), age 78, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025 at NHC in West Plains, Missouri. Born on June 13, 1947, in Ravenden, Arkansas,
Letha lived a life centered around family, tradition, and the simple joys of home.
Letha was known for her deep devotion to her children and grandchildren. Her love for family was the heart of her world and guided everything she did. She found joy in the kitchen-cooking meals and canning with care-always eager to share her creations with those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth and nourishment, where generations gathered to enjoy her food and company and lots of card games.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Lisa Clements of Imboden, Arkansas; Liz Orr of West Plains, Missouri; and Andy Collins (Tiffany) of Alton, Missouri. Letha's legacy continues through her thirteen grandchildren: Jeremey Clements, Aaron Clements, Archie (Natalie), Laura, April (Jamey), Brandon, Cleo, Seth, Jaylynn, Bentley, Darrell, Derek and Mykah. She also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, Connie Clements of Imboden and Lynn Clements of Arlington, TN; three sisters, Elsie Hausman of Pocahontas, Shirley Nettles of Alicia, who were truly the light of her life.
Letha was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Emmett and Florence Clements; many brothers and sisters; one daughter Janet Bridges, and two sons Dewayne Clements, and Stevie Collins and special friend Edward (Lee) Collins.
Her days were filled with the things she loved most, preserving food from the garden through canning, preparing meals that brought everyone together around the table, lots of card games, and spending time surrounded by her family. These simple yet profound joys defined her life and left lasting memories for all who knew her.
May Letha's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
