Lettie M. Adams, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2025, in St. Peters, Missouri, at the age of 87. Born on February 1, 1938, in Whistler, Alabama, Lettie embodied the spirit of determination and independence throughout her life.
Before dedicating herself to her family as a devoted homemaker, Lettie made significant contributions to her community through her work at National Cash Register and Teledyne Communications. She was proud to raise four beautiful children—Gregory Adams, Glenn Adams, Kenneth Adams, and Janice Egans—instilling in them the values of kindness and perseverance. Her home was always full of warmth, laughter, and the infectious joy that she shared so generously with her loved ones.
Lettie's personality shined as the sweetest person ever, known for her forgiving nature and unyielding determination. She had an undeniable gift for bringing people together, as evidenced by her love for hosting large gatherings that fostered connection and camaraderie. She found great joy in reading, bowling, and traveling with her bowling leagues during her younger years. Her passions were not just hobbies; they were reflections of her vibrant soul and zest for life.
In addition to her beloved children, Lettie is survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory and the profound impact she had on their lives.
Lettie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Adams; mother, Lelia Mae Malone; father, Samuel Charles Malone; and her siblings—Samuel Malone Jr., Edna Webb, Fredrick Malone, and Leon Thomas—who she held dear to her heart.
A viewing will be held on April 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM, both at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Lettie's legacy of love, strength, and unity will resonate in the hearts of those who knew her, as they gather to celebrate the incredible life she lived and the bonds she treasured.
