Levi P. Grimes was born in Flynn, Texas on June 29, 1942, to Levi and Lillie Grimes, and went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2025, at the age of 83. Levi loved his family and will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved baseball, pool, Washington Red-skins, hunting, playing cards (Poker) and taking their money, gardening, and mostly his family, nothing made him happier. He loved learning to be a daddy to his boys. We loved to start driving around Texas, mostly West and North to historical sights and rivers, mountains and forts. I learned early in our marriage not to touch his bare right foot on the bottom because you might get kicked (I did in the chin). He loved to tease granny and anyone to get a laugh out of them. He loved to race with the boys and always won! Lot more to be said after we all meet. Pallbearers Ferlin, Jeff, Manny, John, Jecody, Donnie, Henery, Nick and grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father Levi, mother Lillie. (Children: Willie, Ruby+ Jimmie Cornelius, Johnnie, Lloyd, Anna Mae, Douglas, Tommie, Jessie Mahlon, Anita, Lou Ann, and Lillie Pearl. Survivors include his loving wife Gayle N. Grimes, daughter-in-law Cyndi, Ferlin and wife Belinda, sister Lea Ellis, 5 Grandkids and 12 great grandkids. Visitation will begin on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South where we will meet immediately after the chapel service.
