Lucian Urbanczyk went to be with the Lord on September 27. 2025 at the age of 100 and 9 months. Lucian was born on December 3, 1924 to Anton and Pelagia (Snoga) Urbanczyk in Pana Maria, Texas. He married the love of his life Rosalie Smolka on September 23, 1961. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. Lucian was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed family vacations, fishing, working his cattle, and going to the casinos. He served in World War II (1944-1946) in the Navy on a transport ship. While serving he witnessed the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. After the war, Lucian worked his cattle and was an electrician for over 50 years. He was extremely outgoing and always had a smile on his face. Lucian was compassionate, loving, and the glue that held the family together. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and always remembered in their hearts. The family is sincerely grateful to Dr. Font, and Dr Malik for providing excellent medical care. We would also like to thank the staff at Hunters Pond Rehabilitation Center for providing support and comfort and also Honors home health services. Lucian was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Pelagia Urbanczyk, and brothers Paul Urbanczyk, Jack Urbanczyk, and Frankie Urbanczyk. Lucian is survived by his wife Rosalie, and daughter Melissa. sisters Adline Ciomperlik, Pat Felux, and brother Tony Urbanczyk along with many other family members.
