Obituary for Roberta Urbanczyk
Roberta Urbanczyk, born September 7, 1952, at Great Lakes Naval Base to Robert and Shirley Fruik, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025.
Roberta was a loving mother, devoted wife, and a true fountain of kindness. She had a heart of gold and a gift for making everything-and everyone-better than she found them. Known for her green thumb and her love of animals, Roberta's home and garden were reflections of her gentle, nurturing spirit. Every morning, she could be found on her porch with a cup of coffee, quietly taking in the beauty of her yard and the world around her.
To her family, she was their own Disney princess-radiant, joyful, and full of love. Her daughter-in-law often said that Roberta brought magic to ordinary days just by being herself. She was selfless, kind, and understanding, always ready with a comforting word or helping hand.
Roberta was endlessly proud of her son, John, whom she raised to live by her example of compassion and integrity. She is survived by her beloved son John (Paula) Urbanczyk, and their daughters, Sarah and Bridget. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Judy (Mark) Seybold and Karen (Ray) Rivera, and her nieces, Elizabeth and Emily Seybold.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, John Urbanczyk, and together they watch over the family they built with love and care.
Roberta's warmth, laughter, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. She was deeply loved, and her gentle spirit will continue to bloom in every life she touched.
