Levi "Larry" Silvils, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born on January 17, 1959 in Milford, Delaware to Doris Jarvis and Daniel "Bud" Elwood Mifflin. On November 23, 2024, Larry peacefully departed this life in Milford, Delaware leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith.
Larry was a proud member of the Holy Trinity Church of the Living God in Dover, Delaware where he accepted Christ under the leadership of Pastor Martha Smith. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to share his love for the Lord with others.
Larry attended Milton Junior High School in Milton, Delaware and earned his GED through the Delaware Job Corps. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with pride and dedication. After his military service, Larry found his passion in the food industry, excelling as a kitchen manager and lead cook.
Known as the "Life of the Party," Larry had an infectious sense of humor and a larger-than-life personality that brought joy to everyone around him. Whether he was singing, dancing, or cracking jokes, Larry had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. His iconic dance move, "The Reindeer," was loved and admired by many and remains unforgettable to all who witnessed it.
Larry's impeccable fashion sense and warm, magnetic spirit made him unforgettable. He cherished his family deeply, especially his siblings, who were the heart of his life. His love extended to his nieces and nephews, whom he nurtured and cared for as his own, always playing an integral role in their lives.
Larry was a man of many talents, but his cooking stood out above all. With a knack for turning simple ingredients into five-star meals, his "concoctions" became legendary. He also had a special place in his heart for the elderly and children, always going out of his way to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness.
