"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born,
And a time to die… a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn …." (Ecclesiastes 3:1- 4)
Sister Levoyn Walker was born on December 17, 1952, in Palm Beach County, Florida. She was the oldest of six children born to Wanda Lee Chambers Daniels and T.C. Jackson. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her stepfather, Mr. Leavy Jackson.
Sis. Walker graduated from Pahokee High School in Pahokee, Florida, before moving to
Newington, Georgia, where she resided for over fifty years. For nearly 20 years, she dedicated herself to work for Screven County Hospital in housekeeping. Later, she provided compassionate care in private duty work with her devoted friend, Ms. Freddie Osborne, for more than a decade.
A faithful member of St. Peter's African Methodist Episcopal Church in Newington, Sis. Levoyn was actively involved in the Sunday School, Choir, Bible Study, and the Walker-Williams Missionary Society. She previously served as a Trustee, Class Leader, and Stewardess until her health began to decline.
Sister Levoyn lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Family and friends alike knew her for her warm hugs and genuine smiles. As a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she was deeply dedicated to her family and her church community.
On this solemn occasion, we remember Sis. Levoyn not just for the time we shared with her, but for the values she instilled in others-compassion, integrity, and respect for life. This beloved child of God closed her eyes on January 7, 2026, after a short illness and returned to God's garden of peace.
She leaves a living legacy to cherish her memory. She leaves two sons: David Walker of Newington and Alfonzo "Buck" Walker, Sylvania; daughter: Cynthia Michelle Walker, Statesboro; grandchildren: Ta'kera Walker, Aalyiah Alexis Walker, Jamario Walker, Alfonzo Walker Jr., Ricky Perkins, Jr., Kierra Vonchelle Perkins; six great grandchildren; brothers: John Henry (Gloria) Jackson, Macon, Ga, Roger Daniels and Robert Daniels both from Miami, Fl; sisters: Annie Lee and Willie Mae Daniels both of Miami, Fl.; a host of nephews, nieces, adopted grandchildren, cousins and devoted friends.
As we reflect on her journey, we honor Sis. Levoyn's memory and the precious moments we spent together. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who loved her. Sis. Levoyn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live forever in the hearts of those she touched.
