Lewis A. Scoliard

Scoliard, Lewis A., 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Malkin) Scoliard for 66 loving years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Elisha and Esther (Lubin) Scoliard, raised in Providence, he attended Providence College for his undergrad; later he attended Ohio State for his LL.B. He was passionate about his work and served as an executive with a local trucking company for well over 40 years prior to retirement.

He was a devoted father who instilled a strong sense of independence and a firm work ethic; his memory is treasured by his sons and their spouses, John Scoliard and his wife Mara, Peter Scoliard and his wife Sarah. He was the dear brother of Sheldon Scoliard. His most treasured role in life was that of a loving grandfather, he loved and adored his five incredible grandchildren, Ted, James, Isabelle, Jackie, and Nicholas.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 22 in the Priest Chapel at Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Road, Warwick, RI at 1:30 p.m. Shiva will be observed at his late residence 125 Pitman St, #1D, Providence, RI 02906 on Thursday, Dec. 22, and Friday, Dec. 23, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
