In Loving Memory of Lila Pardo

Lila Pardo, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this life on February 28, 2024, at the age of 71 in Orlando, Florida. She was a beacon of strength, kindness, and elegance, leaving an enduring imprint on all fortunate enough to have known her.

Born on June 26, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, Lila journeyed to Wallkill, New York, before finally establishing her home in the Sunshine State of Florida. Her passion for Cosmetology led her to pursue and obtain her license, a profession she faithfully served for nearly four decades in Florida. Lila's exceptional talents as a hairstylist earned her accolades within her industry, marking her as an award-winning artisan. Beyond her career, Lila found solace and joy in the art of crocheting. Her heartfelt creations included hats lovingly crafted for donation to cancer hospitals, offering warmth to patients enduring hair loss. Among her many works stands a crochet of the American flag, a poignant tribute to the fallen firefighters of Ladder 10 in NYC following the events of 9/11, still proudly displayed in their firehouse today. Lila's love for board games knew no bounds, and she claimed victory as a scrabble champion. Additionally, she penned a trilogy of literary works, solidifying her legacy as a published author.

Lila is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Rosenblum, with whom she shared nearly 26 years of unwavering love and partnership. Together, they nurtured a home filled with laughter, affection, and cherished moments. Lila leaves behind two daughters, Mercedes and Isabel, whom she adored wholeheartedly. Her daughters, now mothers themselves, stood as the pride and joy of her life. Lila is also survived by her two brothers, Robert and John, along with her four sisters, Sonya, Leslie, Nancy, and Miriam.

Her four grandchildren-Cristal, Michael, Tylar, and Destini-were the radiant lights of her world. Lila's heart expanded even further with the arrival of her seven great-grandchildren-Harlan, Reign, Lila, Alexander, Olivia, Lana, and Hanna. Singing her special song to each one brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Lila's indomitable spirit and unwavering love will forever be etched in our memories. She was a pillar of compassion, offering her presence to all without reservation or judgment. Her infectious laughter will echo through the stories and memories shared by friends and family.

A celebration of Lila's remarkable life will be held on March 4th, 2024, beginning with visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and continuing on March 5th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The service will commence at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, located at 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32806.
