Lilli Johanne Nilssen

Lilli Johanne Nilssen, 88, a resident of Danbury, CT, died on November 27, 2024 at Havencare at Hancock Hall.
Born on January 7, 1936 in Tronpheim, Norway, Lilli was the daughter of Aksel and Aslaug (Johensen) Jensen.
Lilli received her Associates Degree as a Architectural Draftsman and worked as a Chef for Laerdal Medical Corp. in Wappingers Falls until her retirement in 1998.
Lilli was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Yorktown Heights and Sons of Norway in Croton Falls Troll Lodge.
Lilli is survived by her daughter, Lisa Berardis and her husband Anthony; her daughter-in-law, Virginia Carney; her stepdaughter, Katherine Garlepp and her husband John; her sister, Aashild Knudsen and her husband Per; and her grandchildren, Annalise Murphy and her husband Justin, Anthony Berardis and his wife Emily, Christina McCormack and her husband Steven, Victoria Craft, Aysten Nilssen, John Garlepp and Ryan Garlepp; and her great-grandchildren, Jameson Murphy, Delilah Murphy, Brooks Beradis, Joelle McCormack and Amelia and Asher Garlepp. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her fiancé, Richard Black; and her son, Marc Nilssen.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
