Lillian Elizabeth Boyd, Daughter of James Handy Sr, and the Late Rosetta Handy was born on February 26, 1961, in
Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on December 16th, 2025. She was one of six siblings. Lillian was educated throughout the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Forest Park High School. In her teen years, she was a proud member of the Baltimore Westsiders Marching band. Lillian began her career in retail in 1984 as a sales associate, working for Hutzler's, Stewart's, and the Hecht company, later known as Macy's. She worked in just about every department from cosmetics, fragrance to fine jewelry and the men's department. She was also Macy's own Madea when they needed entertainment. She came ready with the wig, dress, and balloons ready to perform and to make everyone laugh. When it came to protecting store merchandise, she would even become a member of loss prevention when needed. While employed, Lillian gained a host of coworkers who became her close friends. She also worked on the side as a hostess for families during the Jewish Holidays whom she became close with and called them her own family. Lillian married the love of her Life, Kenneth A Boyd (who preceded her in death) in 1994. From this union, they were blessed with a son, daughter, and stepdaughter. Lillian loved to serve and would put her own twist on whatever she had her hands on. She loved reading, shopping, building Legos, watching classic movies, spending time with family and friends, and of course baking, she was (known for her bread pudding, pineapple upside down cake, corn pudding) the list goes on. Lillian also loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. She cherished her relationship with the Lord, loved going to church on Wednesdays for bible study, and serving as a Greeter on Sundays. If there was a family gathering, you knew she would be in the midst. After 39 years, she retired from Macy's in March 2025. During her retirement within that short period of time she was able to spend even more time with her family and friends, leaving lasting memories they will hold onto. Lillian's spirit lit up any room she entered, she was truly a woman of God, strong, beautiful with a classic style. Her touch was always calming, and her presence would give any troubled spirit peace, and she always had a word of encouragement. She was an angel here on earth and will truly be missed. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her son, Kristopher; Daughter Kristina; one son in love Darius, beloved stepdaughter Dawn (Mikel); Sister-in-love Kendra (Malik); one granddaughter Isabella, two grandsons Camden and Landry. Her Father James Handy Sr; brothers, Rodney, James (Carla), and Brian; sisters, Linda and Lisa, Goddaughter Christina, God son Lamont Handy, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, relatives, and friends. Also cherishing her memory is close family friend Krystal Stoner.
