Graveside services for Mrs. Lillian Dennis, age 90, of Glencoe, will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor George Chastain officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until time of service at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dennis passed away on July 26, 2024 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James W Dennis, her daughter, Sherry Lynn Dennis, her parents, Rev. Cicero and Lillian Peek, her grandparents, George and Amie Gowens, her sister, Tilithia Faith Peek, her son in law, Dennis Harper and her parents in law, Rev. and Mrs. Olan Dennis.
Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Dennis is her daughter, Ann Harper, her sons, James Michael Dennis, Timothy DeWayne Dennis (Hayley), and Olen Lee Dennis (Traci), her eight grandchildren, her two great-grandchildren, her one great- great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dennis was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Gadsden High School. She loved spending time with her family, watching SEC football, reading and being a home maker. She will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Dennis, Steve Tate, Chris Templeton, Caimen Dennis, Chase Dennis and Mark Cassidy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ACG Hospice staff, Jay Beggs, Kara and Shelley for the care and compassion they showed Mrs. Dennis.
