Lillian Bode Doerschler 89, of Wethersfield, died peacefully on Monday, November 13th. She was born in Hartford on April 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Frieda and Friedrich Bode. Lillian received her associate degree from Becker Junior College. Lillian was an active lifetime member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wethersfield, where she sang in the choir for over 40 years, served on the church council, volunteered in many capacities, and could often be found taking care of the grounds. She leaves two sons, Jeffrey Doerschler of Wethersfield and Gregory Doerschler of Worcester, MA; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Christopher O'Neil, of Granby; three grandsons, Sean, Simon and Samuel O'Neil, and a sister, Doris Brass, of West Hartford. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Eric Doerschler.

The family would like to thank her dedicated caregivers at McLean Assisted Living in Simsbury. According to her wishes, a private Graveside Service is being held.
