Lillian Garletts Obituary

Born April 25, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mae (Appold) Headley. She was also preceded in death by her son David Garletts, four sisters Mary Gentry, Sylvia Lee, Edna Shroyer and Frances Arbogast, and two brothers Russell Headley,Jr. and Charles Headley.
Lillian worked at the Doe Spun Clothing Factory, the Allegany Board of Education as a custodian, and at the Silverleaf Restaurant. She and her husband, Malcolm Garletts who was in the Army, traveled the world together, living in a number of countries and states, Germany being her favorite.
Surviving is her son Brian Thomas Garletts (fiancée Carrie Crites) Cumberland, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her brother James Headley (Judy) Frostburg, two sisters in-law Gladys Headley, Wiley Ford and Laura Headley, Bowmans Addition, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. And her pet dog Marley Marie together for nine years.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 12 from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Avenue.
A viewing at noon and and funeral service at 1:00pm will be Tuesday, December 13 at Assembly of God Church, Wiley Ford. with Pastor Carolyn Yacenech officiating. Internment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
