Lillian Beth Hansen, 80, of Ennis, Montana, passed away on November 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Lillian was born in Salt Lake City, to Lillian and Frederick Platt on November 7, 1945. She attended South High School and graduated in 1964. In 1963, she met Calvin when a group of their friends were enjoying root beer floats at the local A & W. After Calvin returned from his mission, they were married on November 17, 1966 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

After Calvin's graduation from the University of Utah and the birth of their son Kenneth (KC) they moved across the country to Hartford, Connecticut, for Calvin to start his career as an Actuary. They lived in Connecticut for 11 years, during which their other 4 children were born. They lived in Florence, Mississippi and Bartlett, Tennessee before moving back to Utah in 1999 to work withCalvin's brother.

Lillian was a mother through and through and that was her job. She did work outside the home during different periods of her life but those jobs were products of her talent and hobbies. She was a talented cake decorator which led her to her Dairy Queen, where she decorated cakes. Not only did she decorate cakes there, she would make wedding cakes on the side for those who asked. She was also a talented seamstress, with one of her specialties being smocking. Once she had grandchildren, her creations could be seen being worn by them on almost a daily basis.

Lillian was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and love the Lord. She served in many positions in the church throughout her life and made lasting impressions on many young women, seminary students and sisters in Relief Society. She and Cal served as Service Missionaries in the Salt Lake City Mission and as full-time Senior Missionaries in the Florida, Tallahassee Mission.

Lillian was preceded in death by her mom and dad, her sisters Janice and Elenore, her brother Ray, her son Adam and 2 great grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her husband Cal, who has been a devoted care giver for the last 4 years, her sons Kenneth Calvin (Kristi), Monte (Jennifer), Ryan (Stacey) and her daughter Meredith (Kevin). She leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren –Haldan (Megan), Taylor (Mikayla), Allison (Russell), Garrett (Sofia), Weslie, Graham, Parker, Miles, Cooper and Eliot. And her great grandchildren – Teddy, Stella, Penny, Ada, Brier, Sutton and Rosie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6th at 11:00am. We invite friends and family to visit on Friday, December 5th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday, December 6th from 9:30am to 10:30am.
