Lillian Ann Hartsock, 84, of Lebanon, Va. passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025 at Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on July 7, 1940 in Lebanon, Va. to the late J.P. Hartsock and Eva Hartsock. She was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She graduated from Lebanon High School and went on to attend Radford College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in education. She later went on to ETSU where she received her master’s degree. She was a teacher in the Russell County School System for 35 years. She touched the lives of many children throughout her years as a school teacher. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Order in Gate City, Va. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross-stitching. She was very active in her church and so loved her church life. She enjoyed having company come and cooking meals for everybody. She loved to travel and was always ready to go on an adventure. She was a member for many years of Free Hill Baptist Church and also of the Basic Group in the church.

Survivors include her sister, Judy Briscoe of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Andrew Hartsock and wife Becky of Lebanon, Va.; nieces, Carol White and husband Mark of Abingdon, Va., Kathy Easterly and husband Gary of Lebanon, Va., Stephanie Buchanan of Lebanon, Va.,; nephew, Brian Hartsock of Lebanon, Va.; great-nephews, Josh Jessee of Abingdon, Va, Dakota White wife Corie of Abingdon, Va., Cole Buchanan and fiancée Caitlin Dye of Lebanon, Va., Matthew Buchanan of Roanoke, Va., Seth Buchanan of Lebanon, Va.; great-niece, Rileigh Buchanan of Lebanon, Va.; great-great nephews, William Jessee of Abingdon, Va. and Colton White of Abingdon, Va. and special aunt, Peggy Hartsock.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Free Hill Baptist Church, 4542 Little Duck Road, Nickelsville, Va. with Pastor Chris Musick and Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 pm Thursday at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark White, Dakota White, Brian Hartsock, Cole Buchanan, Matthew Buchanan, Seth Buchanan, Josh Jessee and Gary Easterly.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Abingdon Health and Rehabilitation for their wonderful care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Free Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 195, Nickelsville, Va. 24271.
