Shirley June Wright of Lebanon, VA., 70, passed away on August 26, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Wright; sisters, Felicia Gail Wright and MaryAnn Fugate; brothers, Vince Wright, Tony Wright and Roy Wright; brother-in-law, Mike Popina.
Shirley was of the Baptist faith. She loved animals, especially dogs. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include son, Alex Jennings, New York, NY; daughter, Melissa Jennings Riner and husband Marvin, Lebanon, VA.; sisters, Sue Wright, Baltimore, MD, Patricia Popina, Virginia Beach, VA, Darlene Thomas and husband David Thomas, Baltimore, MD. and Pesky Wright, Baltimore, MD; grandsons, Tyler Jennings, Bristol, TN and Walker Riner, Hansonville, VA.; granddaughter, Kelsey Riner, Hansonville, VA.; great-granddaughter, Ellie Mae Riner; great-grandson, Buckley Riner; Jessica Jennings, loving family member and special friend.
Memorial service will be conducted at 6 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Rev. Danny Rhea officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service.
