Graveside services for Lillian Mitchell will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. from Clarks Chapel Cemetery with Alex George officiating.
Lillian Mitchell,92, of Dekalb died Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Ms. Lillian was a native and longtime resident of Kemper County. She was a graduate of Cleveland School, where she was an all-star basketball player. She loved to fish, gardening, sitting on the porch and riding the roads. Lillian was a longtime employee of Northern Electric and later a Justice Court Judge in Kemper County. Ms. Mitchell was a longtime member of Clarks Chapel Church. She was loved by her many friends and family and she will surely be missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Blackburn of Moscow, Marsha Stovall of Cleveland and Beverly Ishie (Rickey) of Liberty; grandchildren, Kim Lowe (Grant), Justin Stovall (Heather), Ryan Ishie (Jamie) and Brooke Mars (Adam); 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Griffin and Martha George; brothers, Roger Goodin (Freda) and Luke Goodin (Pat); numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Ms. Mitchell was preceded in death by husband, RC Mitchell; granddaughter, Mindy Stovall; sons-in-law, Jimmy Stovall and Pete Blackburn.
Pallbearers are: Rickey Ishie, Justin Stovall, Ryan Ishie, Grant Lowe, Greg Mitchell and Bruce Mitchell.
The family would like to thank Quality Hospice Care of Philadelphia for the wonderful care of their mother.
