Lillian Stone, 87, of Piketon, Ohio passed, 8:34 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.

Lillian was born June 6, 1938, in Switzer, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Herbert Pence, Sr. and Rosa Kellen (Duty) Pence. On April 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to Gary Douglas Stone, who preceded her in death on September 19, 2024.

She is survived by five children, Rose Ellen Ruggles, Linda Kay Stone Dilts, Douglas Audie (Susie) Stone, Gary Lee (Polly) Stone, and William W. Stone; five grandchildren, Derek Doyle, Damon Doyle, Katy Dilts, Kristin (Tom) Edgar, and Eli (Brittany) Stone; four great grandchildren, Dylan Doyle, Lincoln Stone, Eleanor Stone, and Caroline Edgar; a great-great grandchild, Dayton Doyle; and two siblings, Woodrow (Anna) Pence and Sue (Pence) Hostetter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings, Herbert Pence, Billy Duty, Rosemary Rhodus, Douglas Pence, and Donald Pence.

Lillian was a homemaker, who was a loving mother and called her husband sweetheart. She loved growing flowers and playing Pac-Man.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Barry Penn officiating. Burial will follow at Bailey Chapel Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service on Thursday at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly.
