Glende-Nilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Battle LakeLillias Leialoha, 93, of Clitherall, Minnesota and Hilo, Hawaii, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Lillias had been residing at her daughter's home in Clarinda, Iowa.
Lillias Rotzien Leialoha, only child to George Kremer and Eunice Evelyn (Rotzien) Kremer, was born on July 13, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up on Clitherall Lake in Clitherall, Minnesota, living with her grandparents, Frank and Kate Rotzien. While attending Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, she met her future husband, George Fern Lehua Leialoha, of Hilo, Hawaii. They were married on March 1, 1952, in Lamoni. They had three daughters. Debbi, Shelly (Duane Hartstack) and Sherry (Rodney Waipa). Lillias was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and entertaining her friends and family. She also worked and retired from United Airlines. Lillias and George enjoyed in their retirement years traveling between their homes in Hilo, Hawaii and Clitherall, Minnesota. They also added a home in Independence, Missouri later to be close to their daughters and grandchildren living in the Midwest.
Lillias was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Left to cherish Lillias' memory are her daughters, five grandsons, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Lillias is also survived by two cousins, Don Rotzien of Connecticut and Mary Jane Carlson of New Jersey.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Oct. 18th, 1:30 pm at the Community of Christ church in Clitherall, burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Lunch to follow at Kountry Korner Kafe, Henning, Minnesota. A future service will be held in Hilo, Hawaii, with dates pending.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nodaway Valley Funeral Home of Clarinda, Iowa and Glende- Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake, Minnesota.
