Lillie Elneda Tidd, age 98, of Iola, Kansas, passed away October 11, 2025, at Neosho Memorial Regional Hospital, Chanute, Kansas. Lillie was born July 6, 1927, in Uvalde, Texas, to William James Blakney and Lillie Minerva (Whitaker) Blakney.
Lillie married Howard James Tidd on July 6, 1955, in Uvalde, Texas. She and Howard farmed for years in rural Iola, Kansas.
Lillie enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, and her yard. She loved spoiling her grandkids. She was always working with her husband baling hay, hauling hay, cutting wood, and delivering hay and wood to Colorado and numerous other places and states. Lillie liked raising cattle. She helped neighbors by hauling truck loads of grain to the elevator. Lillie loved watching old westerns, especially Bonanza. In her later years, she still liked to be involved on the farm and watching her grandkids build fence and farm the land.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard James Tidd; son, Donald Lee Tidd, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Snavely; son-in-law, Charles Snavely; grandson, Jacob Tidd; and numerous other close relatives.
Lillie is survived by grandchildren, Donald Lee Tidd, Jr. (Corey Lindsey), Roy Tidd (Tanner Beauvais), Andrew Snavely, Mark Snavely (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Kloie Snavely, Charlee Snavely; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow the funeral service in Iola Township Cemetery (one miles east of Piqua, Kansas).
Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
