Linda Aleshire Obituary Linda Marie Aleshire, 78, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Fairplay, MD passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Williamsport Retirement Village.
She was born on August 6, 1946, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Hershel Weldon and Lola Mae (Starliper) McCubbin.
Linda was a 1964 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
She was a School Bus Driver with the Washington County Board of Education for 43 years until her retirement. She was also employed by Yogi Bear Campground since 1999, and Martins Grocery Store in Hagerstown, MD for 15 years.
She was of the Brethren Faith.
Linda was a member of the Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocohontas of the I.O.R.M. Tribe #84 Williamsport, MD; lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary Community Vol. Fire Co. of District 12.
Linda loved playing bingo, bowling, going to Ocean City, MD, and eating Thrasher fries. She enjoyed watching her son race at the Mason-Dixon Dragway. She also loved shopping with her daughter and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly S. Harold (Larry) of Hagerstown, MD; David L. Aleshire, Jr. (Hope) of Chewsville, MD; grandsons Brian E. Embly, II and Quinton B. Embly.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews and her special best friend Kathy Gilbert.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers Edward L. McCubbin and Gary W. McCubbin.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1:00 3:00 pm. The funeral home will be open at 12:00 (noon) on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm with Chaplain Bob Fraley officiating. Burial will be private. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Linda, please visit our Tree Store.
