Linda Mae Ebersole

Williamsport, MD – Linda Mae (Shenk) Ebersole, 77, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on April 29, 1948, in Elizabethtown, PA to the late Elam Kuhns and Hilda Mae (Frey) Shenk.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Donegal High School in Mount Joy, PA and a 1970 graduate from Maryland Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, MD.
After graduating from Maryland Medical Secretarial School, she was employed at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. After getting married in 1971, she moved to Hagerstown, MD and started working at the Washington County Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist and retired after 39 years of service. Also, after Linda's retirement she worked part-time at Meritus Medical Center for a few more years.
Linda was a long-time member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown, MD, where she taught Sunday School for 14 years.
She was a member of Washington County Master Gardeners and served as a volunteer on various committees; Ladies of the Elks Association Lodge #378; Daughters of the Nile Temple #118; Tri-State Nile Club; Williamsport County Club.
Linda enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and being out in the great outdoors. She loved to travel and see new and exciting places and try new foods. She loved getting together with her family and her four grandchildren who were very special to her. She always said that her four granddaughters made her smile with joy.
Linda's friendships were always very special and meant a lot to her. She always enjoyed being with people and having a great time.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Wayne Ebersole whom she married on August 21, 1971; son Donald Wayne Ebersole, II and his wife Angela of Williamsport, MD; son Justin Michael Ebersole and his wife Melissa of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughters Kendall and Ava Ebersole of Williamsport, MD and Laila and Jordan Ebersole of Hagerstown, MD.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Judy A. Kerstetter and her brother Louis R. Shenk.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Twyla Rowe officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.
