Elmer Lee "Pokes" Jamison

Elmer Lee (Pokes) Jamison, 82, of Sharpsburg, MD passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Doey's House. Elmer was born August 2, 1943, in Antietam Furnace, MD to the late Joseph Webster Jamison and Ruby Catherine (Drenner) Jamison. Elmer was a 1961 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He was co-owner/operator of Knight & Jamison Excavating Services, Sharpsburg, MD. He was of Protestant faith. He enjoyed going to flea markets and working in his garage. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Arbutus Eichelberger, 4 brothers: Floyd Jamison, Dallas Glen Jamison, Harry Leo Jamison, and Richard "Hank" Jamison. A special thank you to his caregivers, Kelli Lynn and Marian Griffith, whom he dearly loved. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conocoheague Street, Williamsport, MD. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday, from 1-2 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
