Mrs. Linda Kay Allen, age 56 of Hillsborough, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, February 14, 2025, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
Obituary
Mrs. Linda Kay Allen, daughter of the late Marian and Rufus Burnette and father, Sylvester Eubanks was born March 29, 1968. She departed this life on February 14, 2025, with her loving husband and son by her side.
She was a faithful member of Foundation of Power Outreach Ministries in Sanford, NC for 27 years.
She attended Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1986. After high school, Linda worked as a florist for 10 years making beautiful arrangements for all occasions and especially enjoyed doing weddings. She later became employed by UNC Hospitals Physicians and Associates where she worked for the next 26 years. Linda was a nurturer and enjoyed spending time with young children, reading, and doing cross word puzzles.
In 1996, she married Andre Jerome Allen. In 2005, with much delight and excitement, she gave her husband the news that after nine years they were being blessed with a baby boy! They named their miracle baby, Isaiah Jeremiah Allen.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Sylvester LeSean Eubanks. Her brother Lonnie Baldwin passed only 3 short days after her on February 17, 2025.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Andre Allen; son, Isaiah Allen; sisters, Michelle Page and Natasha Eubanks; brothers in law, Chris Allen, Gerald Allen, and Gary Colson; nephews, Lonnie Baldwin, Jr., CJ and Zach Allen, Caleb and Samajea Colson (Cassie); nieces, Ashley Brewer, Tajai and Te'yanna Goins, Teara Page, Dasia and Na'Ziya Allen; uncles, Billie Baldwin (Iris), Claude, Howard, Bobby, Anthony and Ervin (Sula) Eubanks; aunts, Minister Mary Ann Burnett (Ricky), Susan Crisp, Deborah Atwater, and Donna Baldwin; a dear friend, Lisa Battle and a host of other relatives and friends.
