Linda Lou Baker

Linda L. Baker, age 77 of Corning, NY passed away on November 26, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Born on January 19, 1948 in Harrison Valley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Velma E. (Baker) Baker. Linda was a graduate of Corning East High School. She worked various jobs before starting work with Corning, Inc. in quality control.
Linda loved going to yard sales and thrift stores, always finding joy in the little treasures she discovered. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her sister, a tradition that brought her laughter and companionship.
Linda was a true matriarch who loved her family above all else. She devoted herself to caring for her grandchildren and spent many years babysitting for family, helping to raise countless children with patience and love.
A phenomenal cook, she could prepare anything and everything, filling every home she entered with warmth and the smell of her delicious meals. She had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.
She also cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Rahlo who was always by her side.
Linda is survived by her children: Billi Jo Chrisler of Painted Post, NY, Tami (Jonathon) Bradley of Elmira, NY, Ricky (Carol) Robinson of VA, Eric (Anne) Slocum of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Shawna, Jamie, Joshua and Jonathan, Erica, Jessica, Steven and Scott, Hailey, Reagan and Riley; 10 great grandchildren; siblings: Charles 'Sonny' (Kim) Baker, Marlene (Todd) Kimball, Joanie (Phil) Bacon all of Corning, NY; sister-in-law, Laura Baker of Corning, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Larry Baker; and sister, Penny Baker.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at Coopers Plains Cemetery, Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, Pastor Kevin Austin officiating. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Marconi Lodge, 26 W. Pulteney St., Corning. Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
