John Potter Obituary

John retired from Corning Inc. after 35 years of dedicated service, holding numerous positions throughout his career. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing and hunting and cherished every opportunity to spend time in nature. Above all, John loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather, as well as a kind and selfless man who was always willing to help others.
He was predeceased by his life partner, Donna Davis, in 1999.
John is survived by his son, Joseph (Ashley Whitehead) Potter of Corning; his daughter, Lacey Grisby of Corning; grandsons, Noah Potter and Gavin Wheeler; and sisters, Janice Gerow and Connie Frasier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Carpenter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with John's final arrangements. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of John, please visit our floral store.
