Ines Teresa Carideo

Ines Comin Carideo of Campbell, NY and former resident of Katonah, NY entered into rest November 7, 2025 at 94 years young.
Ines was born in Flushing, NY to Giordano 'George' and Maria (Reginato) Comin. She always enjoyed recounting her exploits of growing up in Queens.
Ines was an athlete and avid sports fan, having played and won awards not only with her HS and Company basketball teams, but with her bowling skills and softball abilities. When she wasn't playing, she was following her children and grandchildren all over the northeast to watch them compete. Ines was also active as a class mother, Girl Scout leader, team Mom and coach, all while working as the library aide at West Patent Elementary School.
Ines was predeceased by Anthony Carideo, her husband of 58 years, her parents, and brother and his wife, George and Agatha (Cosenza) Comin. She leaves wonderful memories for her daughters, Antonia Woody (Luke) and Irene Furness (Kevin) and her grandchildren: Olivia, Ryan (Ashley) and Kevin A. Furness and many beloved nieces and nephews. To Ines, family was everything.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to "The Ladies", all the wonderful women who have helped care for Mom over the past few years. We could not have done it without you.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 12:00 am to 2:00 pm at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY, followed by a prayer service at 2:00 pm, Deacon Joseph Erway officiating. Entombment at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Corning will immediately follow.
