Ami Miller Corell

Ami Miller Corell, a courageous, funny, dedicated, and creative soul, was born on January 12, 1974, in Corning, NY, and passed away on November 18, 2025. Ami, a beloved teacher at Hammondsport Central School since 2000, resided in Campbell, NY. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo and obtained a Master's Degree from Mansfield University, reflecting her commitment to education and lifelong learning.

Ami was an avid reader, a passionate cook, and was wholly dedicated to her role as an educator. She also found time to engage in activities at her school as a tennis coach, drama club leader, cheerleading coach, and class and yearbook advisor. Her infectious smile and creative spirit touched the lives of everyone around her. But above all, what mattered most to Ami was her son, Zac, whose life she enriched with her love and dedication.

She is survived by her father, Duane Miller; her mother, Angela Vine Miller; her loving husband, Gary Corell; and her cherished son, Zachary Corell; as well as many special friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ami was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Dorthy Vine, and Marvin and Marilyn Miller.

Calling hours for Ami will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., located at 216 East First Street in Corning, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00PM at the Hammondsport Central School District, located at 8272 Main Street in Hammondsport, NY.
