Funeral service Linda Ball, age 83, of Tipton, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Tipton (300 E. Davis), with Rev. Les Banks, pastor, officiating.
Linda passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in Altus, Oklahoma.
Burial will be in the Tipton Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish & Tipton Funeral Homes.
Viewing will be at the Tipton Funeral Home (220 E. Main), 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Linda Carrol Ball was born on October 7, 1942, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Shorty and Ella (Miligan) Dickson. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Ball November 27, 1960. They made their home in Tipton where she partnered with Chuck in Ball and Sons Custom Harvesting. She was a devoted wife and mother of three. She also worked for a period at Atwoods in Altus. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was an avid storyteller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Chuck Ball, one brother: CW Dickson; and one great grandchild: Avery Southerland.
She is survived by two sons: David Ball and wife Brenda, Danny Ball and wife Raquel; a daughter: Vickie Passmore; 13 grandchildren: David Ball Jr. and wife Tracey, Amanda Patterson and husband John, Amberly Gorham and husband Chance, Lee Passmore and wife Jennifer, James Passmore and wife Samantha, Adrian Southerland and wife Brandy, Zach Ball and wife Madi, Kamra Kennedy and husband Trevor, Brittany Massey and husband Jake, Jaxon Ball, Jalyn Ball, Jaisa Padilla and Cole Ball; 16 great grandchildren: Collin Ball, Jace Southerland, Willow Southerland, Zoey Ball, Kyler Ball, Sawyer Ball, Raylee Kennedy, Huck Kennedy, Livy Kennedy, Stevie Massey, Seth Gorham, Dillon Gorham, Brylee Passmore, Amelia Gorham, Hayden Passmore, Paisley Passmore, Colton Wolfe and Nelson Wolfe; and two sisters-in-law: Carol Barnes and Gwen Dickson: and numerous nieces and nephews.
