Linda G. (Henry) Benninger, 79, of Apollo, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in AHN- Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.

Born April 11, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Blaine Henry and Esther (Rowe) Magee.

Linda was a graduate of Washington Township High School and attended Bob Jones University. She worked as a chiropractic assistant for Medical Wellness Associates/Dr. Gallagher in Jeannette, for the Salvation Army, and as a substitute secretary with the Apollo-Ridge School District.

Linda was a past member of the Apollo Borough Council and served as president of Apollo Borough Council, and member of Apollo Free Methodist Church, where was involved with the worship team and prayer shawl group.

She enjoyed crocheting, and made many chemo-caps, preemie hats, and angel baby outfits which

were donated through the Apollo Free Methodist prayer shawl group and distributed to local families. Linda also enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and working on puzzles. She most loved her family, and was a great mother.

In addition to her parents; Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Erma L. Kunkle, Nancy Henry; brother, Ted Magee; and her nephew, Jeff Reilly.

Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Raymond E. "Butch" Benninger, Jr.; daughter, Nancy L. (Jonathan Fazekas) Benninger of Apollo; son, Raymond E. (Michael Bineau) Benninger, III of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Lois (Tom) Smith of Trafford, Sharon (Steve) Botti of Nampa, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

All services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to the Apollo Free Methodist Church, 1027 PA Route 56, Apollo, PA 15613.
