Linda R. Bernstein

Linda R. Bernstein, 84, passed away September 15, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born and raised in Somerville to the late parents Abraham and Helen Schumer. She was formerly of North Plainfield before moving to Martinsville in 1999. Linda was a member of Raritan Valley Country Club, Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, Temple Sholom, and the Chabad of Greater Somerset County. Linda was also affiliated with the Hebrew Day School of Plainfield and the Plainfield J.C.C. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and mahjong and especially spending time with her grandchildren who were the joy of her life. Linda will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Bernard Bernstein and brother Jack Schumer.
Surviving are her three sons, Kenneth Bernstein, Gary and his wife Dawn Bernstein, and David and his wife Bonnie Bernstein, and seven grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, Marissa, Ross, Adam, Danielle and Jacob.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Chabad of Greater Somerset County, 3048 Valley Road, Basking Ridge. Interment will follow at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, Somerville.
