Linda Danelle Bichsel, 55, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2024. She was born on May 27, 1969, the daughter of Gary Lake and Judy Utterback. Linda graduated from Palmyra High School in the Class of 1987 and married Mike Bichsel on September 3, 1994. Together, they raised three children: Rachael, Jordan, and Natalie.
Linda was a dedicated employee of Diemakers for 12 years and Monroe City Schools, serving for 24 years as the Secretary to the Superintendent. She was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and actively participated in the Parish's Altar Society and the PTO. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed bowling, reading, antiquing, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family.
Linda was preceded in death by David Daniel; her paternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Hazel Daniel; her maternal grandparents, Marvin and Dixie Franklin; her nephew, Bryce Bichsel; cousin, Freddie Shaw; father-in-law, Bernard Bichsel; and sister-in-law, Cathy Bichsel.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Bichsel; her father, Gary Lake (Judy); her mother, Judy Utterback (Mark); her mother-in-law, Phyllis Bichsel; her children, Jordan Bichsel, Natalie Bichsel,Rachael Bichsel (Wade)and granddaughter Charlee Anne Gander; her brothers, Matt Lake, Andy Utterback (Heather), and Aaron Utterback (Melissa); her sisters, including twin sister Laura Allen and Erika Utterback; as well as numerous neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Linda will also be dearly missed by her many special friends, including Matt Lake, Tony Degrave, Joey Allen, Pat Price, Mark Carpenter, Tracy Bottoms, Jim Masters, Tammy Franklin, Michelle Pfanner, Kaci Pratt, Billie Jo Whelen, Anne Moe, Susie Gorrell, Michella Hull, Lina Raney, Karen Bichsel, Sharon Baney, Barbara Holt, Megan McCune, Deb Othic and Sheryl Underhill.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Garner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 4:45 p.m. and a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. Con-Celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church in Indian Creek, Missouri, led by Father Greg Oligschlaeger and Fr. Mike Quinn. A graveside service will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Monroe City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Rosary School or Monroe County Cancer Supporters in Linda's memory.
Pallbearers will be Dan Bichsel, Glenn Bichsel, Jordan Bichsel, Gatlin Bichsel, Jared Bichsel, and Josh Allen.
Linda's memory will live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
