Linda Gail Bivens

Linda Gail Bivens (Hammond), age 65, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 6, 2025 after a brave fight with cancer. She was born on November 7, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Hammond and Elizabeth Hammond.
Raised in Forest Park, Georgia, Linda's life was a reflection of resilience and grace. She was married to the love of her life, Mark, for 44 years, and together they raised two daughters. Being a Mimi to her five grandchildren was her greatest treasure and she enjoyed the constant companionship of her German Shepherd, Phoenix.
For many years, Linda worked as an administrative professional, where she was admired for her warm, friendly demeanor, exceptional typing speed, and impeccable handwriting. Prior to her cancer diagnosis in 2022, she also enjoyed volunteering at the hospital.
She leaves behind her husband, Mark Bivens; daughters, Ashley (Tad) Busby and Abby (Cale) Sinyard; grandchildren, Lillian, Avery, Mark Henry, Owen, and Blakely; siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Phillip.
The family will host friends for a time of visitation to honor Linda's life on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 10:00 AM prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. It will be held at Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Home in McDonough. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor to be made to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (https://www.firefightercancersupport.org).
