Linda Faye Brackett Elkins, 83, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 10th, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she lived her life with grace, strength, and a spark that will never be forgotten.
Born on December 18th, 1941, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Linda grew up with a deep love for family and community. She had a gift for making people feel welcome - whether it was through a warm hug, a home-cooked meal, or a quick-witted comment that filled the room with laughter. Her presence had a way of making any gathering feel special.
She especially loved the holidays, hosting large celebrations where her home was open to everyone. Those gatherings were full of food, laughter, and the kind of warmth that made friends feel like family.
Her faith guided her through every season of life, and her fierce love for her family was evident in all she did.
Linda Faye Brackett Elkins is preceded in death by Fred and Geneiva Blair, Lloyd Gene Cox, and Rita Louise Barnes. She is survived by her spouse Ronald Elkins, Regina Mathis, Ted & Kelly Broome, Tammy & Victor Condroski, Larry Brackett, Blaine Elkins, Ralph & Sabrina Bryan, Charlotte and Robert Lynch II, 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and dear friends whose lives she touched in countless ways.
Visitation will be held on October 18th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Linda will be cremated, and her family will honor her wishes in a private gathering at a later date.
Her strength, kindness, and unmistakable spark will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
