Christopher Allen Baker Zacher
October 28, 1985 - October 16, 2025
Christopher Allen Baker Zacher, a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 39.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Fred A. Zacher; grandmother, Druesilla Robinson; grandfather, Walter A. Robinson; aunts, Arlean Bell Jenkins and Gwendolynn Robinson Wiley; and uncle, Sammie Bell.
He is survived by his loving mother, Jacqueline Baker-Zacher; sisters, Katina Nicole Wright-Cooper(Randy Cooper) and Krista Baker; aunts, Louisianna Bell Carroll and Patricia A. Robinson; uncles, Rev. Caleb Bell (Anita), Walter A. Robinson (JoAnn), William A. Robinson (Annmarie Peterson), and James Robinson; nephews, Trevor A. Wright and Mason Heinrich; and his loving girlfriend, Amber Ramsey. Chris also leaves behind many cousins residing in Niagara Falls, New York; Lockport, New York; Texas; Alabama; and Tennessee.
From a young age, Chris chose to serve his country by joining the U.S. Air Force, demonstrating his courage, dedication, and compassion for others. He always looked out for the underdog and stood up for what was right often going beyond the call of duty.
Chris had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed playing basketball and football. He also loved listening to music, reading a good book, and spending time with animals. Known for his sense of humor and warm heart, Chris had a gift for making others smile with his quirky remarks and kind spirit. He often reminded those around him to "have a blessed day," a reflection of his caring nature and joyful outlook on life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Companion Funeral Home - Ridge Chapel. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a service at 4:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Guinn Green.
