Richard M. Noble Jr., age 85, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born on March 16, 1940, to the late Richard Melvin Noble Sr. and Helen Florence Wilden in Toledo, Ohio.
Richard was a graduate of Macomber Vocational High School and was of the Lutheran faith. He was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, as well as the USS Haddo Reunion group. Throughout his life, Richard supported numerous charitable organizations and lived a life of generosity and service.
He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, and spending time pursuing many other hobbies that brought him joy and creativity.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Louise Noble, who passed away on February 7, 2020.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Richard Wayne Noble and James Stephen Noble; his grandchildren, Claire Marie Noble, Kaitlyn Noble, Richard Noble Jr., James Joseph Noble, and Jacob Stephen Noble; his great-granddaughter, Elsie; his sisters, Jackie Ackerman and JoHanna Lind; and his dear companion, Judy Mulkey.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Lutheran Church, 195 McIntire Ave NE, Cleveland, TN 37312, or to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Richard M. Noble.
