Linda R. Brouse

Linda R. Brouse, 65, of Bedford, died on Monday, December 8, 2025 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born on August 3, 1960 in Pittsfield, MA, a daughter of the late Stanley R. and Joan Ann (Lemoine) Prew. On March 5, 1983 in Williamsport, she married Kenneth S. Brouse II and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2016. She is survived by four sons: Nicholas Brouse and wife BreAnne of Bedford, Jonathan Brouse and wife Tiffany of Bedford, Zachary Brouse and wife Erin of Everett, and Ethan Brouse of Bedford; five grandchildren: Payton, Sophia, Paxton, Nora, and Kennedy Brouse; and two sisters: Dawn Prew and husband Ben Cohick of Williamsport and Cassandra Frankenberry and husband Jerry of Bedford.

Linda was a 1978 graduate of Loyalsock High School and a 1982 graduate of York College, obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. In 1984, she moved from Williamsport to Bedford with her husband Ken and worked as an Executive Director with the Department of Welfare, retiring in 2015. She also worked in real estate with Coldwell Banker, and owned Unique Stitches Quilt Shop for 10 years. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Bedford American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, the Bedford Business and Professional Women’s Club, and the Secret Santa Society.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Timothy A.
